A brass chandelier is a finish and a structure. The alloy, or a brass-coloured metal with a sealed coat, has to be specified for the room. Untreated brass pits in salt air within a season or two.
Specify the finish before the shape
Lacquer, a plated coat, or a living finish that is allowed to change: pick one, and write it down. A kitchen and a coastal verandah are harder than a dry living room. What fails first is the coastal guide. If the room wants timber instead, that decision is the wood page.
Then size it, and fix it to the slab
Diameter and drop come from the room. The size calculator does that part. Brass frames carry real weight. The anchor goes into the slab before the ceiling closes, as set out in the false-ceiling guide.

Is brass the same as a gold-coloured finish?
No. Solid brass, brass plate, and a painted gold coat age differently. The specification should name which one you are buying or making.
